What can I do for the Environment?

Realization that the Environment is important to us all has been, and still is, increasing over the last few years. The question we should all ask is:- “What can I do to help?” The answer, of course, depends on who you are. If you are President of the United States of America,

You can give billions of dollars for Environmental projects and protection.

If you are an entrepreneur, you can establish a large field of Solar panels.

If you are a Householder with room on your roof, you can put up some Solar panels

You can chose a hybrid car instead of a standard one.

But even if you are none of these there is still a lot you can do, as these film of “Mickey comes to visit” wrong and right show.

Wrong  Way

  • Sits with engine idling while talking
  • Turns on heater, lights etc.
  • Leaves lights on when leaving room
  • Wastes water
  • Throws organic waste into dustbin
  • composting
  • Has 20 minute shower
  • Fills kettle to top for 1 cup
  • Uses car to go on short journey
  • Uses 2 plastic bags for 2 items
  • Throws plastic bags away instead of re-using them

Right Way

  • Turns engine off
  • Puts on pullover
  • Turns off lights
  • Uses excess water for houseplants
  • Throws organic waste into bin for
  • Has 2 minute shower
  • Fills kettle with enough water for 1 cup
  • Walks to supermarket
  • Uses reuseable bags
  • Picks up litter and throws it into bin
